I had to wait awhile to try this place out as it was forever packed full of people every time I pass it, but I finally checked it out. They are known for their burgers, hotdogs, tenders cake and cake shakes! I can say I'm definitely a fan and especially of their tenders and variety of cake shakes. This place will be where I go about once a month at least! Lol

We love Portillos! Service is always fast and friendly. Inside has always been clean in my experience. One of the best items on the menu has gotta be the char grilled Maxwell street polish sausage. So good! If you've never had an Italian beef sandwich- theirs is okay. If you're from Chicago you already know; it's not the best but considering they really don't have Italian beef sandwiches down here; go ahead and try it if you've never had one before. Dipped is the way to go! Their desserts are amazing and definitely stand outs. In fact, when we're in the area it's not uncommon for us to swing by the drive thru just to get dessert here. Their strawberry shortcake and their chocolate eclair cake is the best dessert you can get in a drive thru in the DFW area IMO. Would highly recommend trying.

Ohhhh... It was so delicious. I had been having a craving for a beef and the wife and I drove out from Weatherford. The service was friendly and the dining area was spotless. I was in a meat coma and it was so worth it.

It's kind of hard to not enjoy Portillo's... Chicago style street food!! Hot dogs and burgers and fries. Apparently they're known for their chocolate cake. I like how clean it is and how good it smells! Having to eat gluten free means perhaps a bunless charbroiled burger, bunless chili cheese dog, or Caesar salad (no croutons) for me. Fortunately I like all of those things and I don't need a bun to have a great burger or dog. The food here is really good, it's affordable, and it comes out fast.

First visit to Portillo's Ambiance very clean Loved the diner like look. Food was great. Hot dog was juicy. I didn't like the melted cheese that was added to my chili dog. But overall tasty. Fries were freshly made as Gena our service person called out hot to order. For Chicago made food, it was really good. Shot out to Gena. Loved her spunk and cheerful personality. She brought a smile and made me laugh. Thank you Gena. Keep the smiles going.

Food recommendations- we always go with the classic Italian beef with extra hot peppers and dipping sauce on the side. I want to come back and try a variety of things. The service is quick and the ambiance is crowded, family-friendly, and live. We always order extra to take home!

I've been to this Portillo's twice at this point. One was my first time doing Portillos as a drive thru experience. That experience was really good, they had someone out with an ipad to make sure they were getting orders correct. Food was good even with the togo option. Next time we swung by to go inside. Things went much quicker than they ever had at the Colony location. The issue we had was when ordering was that I had gotten the dip sandwich which I hadn't ever had from here before, but had the same sandwiches elsewhere. When ordering they asked if I wanted sauce on the side, but not what sauce. So, I thought it was the sauce that tends to make the bread sometimes soggy not the cheese and they didn't mention that it was an upcharge. A bit of a surprise when I got my food. When I asked they were confused by my confusion ... So, I guess my bad for not understanding sauce meant cheese? Bread was indeed soggy at the bottom so it was hard to eat as an actual sandwich and wasn't as good as other similar sandwiches we've had in the past. I ended up not eating more than a bit or two and sticking with my onion rings. The rest of our food came out as expected, so when we do come back we just know to skip the Italian beef.

Tastes like you're in Chicago! These sandwiches are sooo delicious! You've got to pull over and hit up Portillo's when you drive past. The Famous Meal #1 Italian Beef Sandwich with Hot Peppers is my jam! So much flavor!! (Be cautious that the "gravy" (AKA au jus) will make your bun soggy unless you gobble it down fast! If soggy bread doesn't work for you, order it dry. Peppers are NOT extremely hot but IMO have more flavor than the sweet. Fry's are crinkle cut and crispy. Next time we will be getting the hotdogs!

Pleasant visit to portillos for dine in. Order taken quickly and we self seated. Tables smelled of bleach yet were still sticky. That's why I took away a star. Casual atmosphere and the set up and decor is pleasing. Good food. Husband loved his hot Italian beef sandwich. The fries are the best. Hot salty and crisp. My dog was delicious. Just fix those sticky tables and I'll add the star!
